  • A quick trip to Amsterdam

    IMG_3157.jpgIMG_3160.jpgIMG_3159.jpgIMG_3161.jpg

Just returned from a flying visit to Amsterdam. Had time to call into the LCDH and pick up some supplies.
The smaller boxes and singles have gone straight into the humidor (but won't be touched for a good while yet) The 3 larger boxes will go into a Tupperware that i am just about to set up. Any tips as to a good Rh to store these boxes at and if the lids should be ajar in the tupperware would be very much appreciated as its the first time I have stored in this method (never had that many cigars to look after).

Nice smokes, though can only see the box of RA SS

Regards to RH, i store mine at 65, some folks store theirs at 69 - if they're off in tupperware i would say go for 65 as they're hermetically sealed and the RH will be reliable and stable. Also no need to have the lids ajar, just store them as they do in the stores - lids closed

Congrats on taking the plunge and getting into boxes/storing - now strap yourself in for a very tempting and addictive (certainly on the buying front) ride!!

Really good picks, some great smokes there.

With regards to RH anywhere between 60-70 is generally acceptable depending on personal preference really. 65 is good to aim for but I've learnt to prioritise stable conditions above obsessing over the exact percentage. Happy smoking

Very good advice from se?or (se?ora?) Thedame007. Aging at a lower humidity level is preferable; higher humidity is fine for those you plan to enjoy now.

If you are new to puros and your sticks are at least one year old, consider sparking one up now and record your thoughts with respect to taste, burn, construction, etc. This will allow you compare and track how well they age.

If you look very close you can see that the earliest is Mar 16, then Sep16 followed by ENE 17 ( dunno what that is)
the Mananitas have a date of Mar 2015 so they will be good to go I think. Plus I also have some of RASS & RASCC & RYJ SC in the Humi already from previous purchases.
