Can't go wrong with a D4, happy smoking

On the tubes I've recently asked myself the same question, I bought a dozen Punch Coronations to try and decided to slightly loosen the cap rather than remove them.

I'm not sure it matters too much but it will interesting to hear from others.

I check mine for mold and leave the caps on. But I re-check them every few months or so.

Yeah they're my favourite smoke so far.

You know far better than I but I was thinking if you leave the caps on are you not restricting humidity, I know they're not air tight but would the cigars not age better removed front the tube?

I wouldn't say that I know far better than you.

I believe that they will age just fine in the tubo. You could put them into you humidor without the caps for a month or so and put them back on. To me the important thing is checking them for mold as soon as I get them. But I'm not a huge tubo guy anyways, it's nice to have a few but that's it. Then again I m toying with the idea to get a few of the Boli tubos......

I'm with you on not being a massive fan, they certainly come in handy when out and about though. I keep the empties in a draw next to my humidor to re-use when needed.

Did the Bolivars recently get discontinued or did I imiagine that?

Well I've smoked cigars on and off for many years but it's only recently I've started collecting. I'm still learning so class myself as a novice in that respect.

I wasn't looking for tubos although they're handy, he got me a price for 25 which I was going to go for but then it dawned on me that I don't have capacity.

I'm thinking my NC's are going to have to be relocated, prefer having separate humidors anyway. Would a lunchbox size container with a Boveda in it suffice for now?

Will be pretty full with the SD4's in as well

Locknlock boxes ( supermarket or lakeland or amazon) come in many sizes.... Yes chuck in a boveda and you are good to go. Just keep them somewhere stable as the walls are thin compared to a humi, so temp extremes hit them harder...

You should upgrade to something big. It seems the bug has already bitten you.

Get this or something similar and you can start buying boxes.

But even these fill up fast...

I thought so, I wasn't aware they had other tubos though to be honest. I very rarely even consider them I guess, the punch were bought on a bit of a whim.

They have the 1, 2 and 3, those are available only as tubos. I've never tried the 2 and 3 but got one of each recently.

If I can chose between regular boxes and tubos I go for regular boxes, they are cheaper and it's easier to check the cigars and they take up less space.

It still would be nice to own a box of the No.1 though....

The bug has definitely bitten, before all I cared about was smoking them but I love the collecting aspect now. That cooler looks like it would hold a lot of cigars and for not a lot of money. Definitely getting one of those, will Bovedas cope with something that size?

As you know my collection is very fresh, any good sources for aged cigars so I can supplement whilst mine are maturing.
