Thank you! The two biggest changes since I last dabbled with cigars are Lock n Lock boxes and Boveda packs. Both of them brilliant! I remember farting around with that little humidor so much trying to get it to 70%! Now, two Boveda packs, shut the lid, and BANG! 70% on the nose! Also, I'm loving the use of Scuba boxes for long term storage these days. I figure, have one or two smart humidors with your daily smokes in, and scuba the rest of your supply up. What's not to love?!

      What an interesting thread!

I started with a similarly small wooden humidor because it was grown up, before outgrowing it (it's my day to day smokes box now). I've hovered over a cabinet with draws typed one several times, because they're classy (but do get dusty, I concede), but keep just getting more tupadors. However, I'm finding the rummaging for "stick x" a slight chore (the suffering...). So they either need to get on gear and make massive lock and lock cabinets or I need to save for something with drawers.

As an aside I think I smoked all the NC oddments assortment, and whilst I'd trade them in a heartbeat for the box of montes or the CC collection, as a jumping in point, they're not *terrible*. Still partial to montes baby machine made offerings and the shade grown Quorum variety.

So, nice looking (if impractical, but screw that) Mk 2 humidor - I hope it fills quickly (I think that's be the right think to say?!)

Agree entirely on all you say. I'm going to find it very hard not to buy a nice drawered cabinet at some point.

I never want to be an "all NCs are rubbish" snob, because it simply isn't the case! However, many of the really cheap ones I bought were! Although, I have to say, the Quorum "Little Q" I tried is a glorious tiny little, cheap smoke! I found it very balanced and floral with a gentle spice crescendo throughout it, never becoming harsh. I may buy more. I can see my old little humidor becoming my "NC" stash...

I've certainly had more than one tin of "little Qs", and would agree on the taste notes. Some have had a little less crescendo, but on the whole never a harsh one.

There seems to be great debate as to whether one should separate NC and CC. I have never bothered having had but a small stash, but as it has grown, and recently received it's first box (ten 2013 Monte Petit No2s), maybe it would be worth considering. For forms sake as much as anything.

I took delivery of a little treat to myself yesterday - a box of Ramon Allones Specially Selected. They smell lovely, but unfortunately it's a very young box code. These will have to sit in the humidor for a while before smoking, I would imagine.

Certainly something to look forward to smoking in the future.

Absolutely, Marc! And the perfect excuse to keep buying more .... "Well, I can't touch those yet, you see, so they don't reaaally exist......"

                  A nice purchase.

I think I'd be hard pushed to not have one... just to try...

i think that tower is a real nice looking piece of furniture - and your right to have a unit ( ha ha he said unit..) for singles ready to smoke - then tuck your main stash away

oh and it is customary to try at least one of a box when they arrive.......

Looking for Monte Sublimes if you have any?

Oh, I'm sure it will happen shortly. I'm remarkably weak-willed. I can hear them calling me....
