Thanks for the info Krist. Where do you buy the beads? I'm planning on keeping the wine fridge upstairs so I think temp should be ok, at the moment my humidor sits between 18 and 20 Celsius

That should be fine then and ok to just leave it off. You can only get them from the manufacturer which is in the USA, you will have to pay customs and VAT as I had and so did others. but they seem to be doing the trick so it's worth it, they seem to be the only beads you can buy in bulk too.

Another option would be florists oasis with distilled water, which I bought too as a back up, but didn't need.
