FWIW I've often found that Maduro wrappers tend be a little 'toothy'.
(I've had more than a few from the Cohiba range that have been downright leathery..!).

It's an inaccurate science, but I'd say it was unlikely that the splodges are plume/bloom (especially given the youth of the cigar).
It's a guess, but I suspect they 'might' be caused by the roller transferring a small amount of the glue they use when attaching the band.
If that's the case, it shouldn't be detrimental to the smoking experience.Originally posted by DRAGMASTERComment
