My GF didn't share my enthusiasm either I would set the temperature and then monitor the humidity just to make sure there's no spikes but there shouldn't be, it's thermoelectric rather than compressor based and rarely shifted from the 64-66% range when it had sticks in there. Temperature. I think I took it straight down to the lowest setting which was 65f / 66f IIRC. The humidity will move more when empty as it's down to the beads to do all of the work and door opening / closing can rapidly change that. Once your sticks in there they'll help stabilise it.
