I think it was a fair trade: Mrs having a short getaway to see her friend and in return bringing cigars back for me
Couldn't help last night but re examine every stick individually and also collectively (with fakes around etc). Checked a lot of the finer detail, and happy to say that all appears authentic. Purchased from a recommended retailer, but still the worry goes through ones mind. Double checked: Uniformity of size & construction collectively, felt each for soft/hard spots, compared wrapper colour against each other all laid out, ensured triple caps present, how the foot of the cigars are cut/trimmed, the band for the raised gold lettering, ensuring the squares aren't off centred or too close to the edges, making sure there's no white edging to the outer band at the top, the comma after the 'Habana' text, the colouring of the bands/uniformity of the bands, the box they came in, the warranty seal. Pleased to say that I'm confident they are genuine.
