Nice little box though, I see you liked the button on the clasp too

Yeah its quality! Even the hinges look good. Might have a fiddle with it to make a lapel pin with the button [emoji3]

Thanks, I inherited it from my wife's Grandad when he passed away.

That is a real beauty. I'm raiding charity shops like mad for a pre-loved one but just cant get anything at the moment.

Pleased that they're from 09, so not too young. Lovely styling and finish to the box.

Where did you manage to find the 09's?

Poult.... if you find an antiques centre ... the kind of thing you see on antiques shows on BBC2 around 5.30-7pm on weekdays... when they dash around in old cars buying cr@p for auctions... there are more around than you would ever realise... they tend to have quite a lot of glass around at the moment.

For some reason decanters arent all that en vogue... so they go for buttons really. Pressed glass is cheap as chips and can be really rather nice. Older lead crystal a little more expensive but until you hit specific makers, they tend to be pretty affordable. My only advice would be give the stopper a good wobble - make sure you have the one that was made with the decanter itself... or you have one that gives a good fit.

and Joss.... handsome sticks and a good find at that age... !

Picked up a parcel from the Post Office today, a recent trade with Wigan. A very generous bomb in reply I must say and some gorgeous looking sticks that Im really looking forward to trying.

Postman is my friend this morning! Parcel of Montecristo Petit Edmundos. Due to not paying attention while shopping I ordered the tubos. Handy for travel I guess as I will be taking a few on holiday.
