obviously not been kept in the correct environment. I would appreciate any advice you can offer to help me
try and simply get them into some sort of smokeable condition. Even if I just use them as a cheap goto for
      my fishing trips.

Just a quick update on this. After starting them off in small batches with 8g 62% Bovedas for about a month, I placed the lot into a scubador
along with 60g 69% packs before I went on holiday. I am now starting to get some really encouraging smells when I open the scuba box.
Hopefully they will be smokeable one day. I will probably give one a go soon and see how we stand so far.

A late birthday gift off my mate. He brought them back from France. I was smoking them when
we were fishing over there on his lake earlier this year.

Sounds like you might be on the right road with the rehydration JT. Independence isn't a brand I'm familiar with, are they any good ?

My brother in law had one of these last week in South of France - he sent me a photo, instantly recognisable branding, but I'm yet to hear how it was. Will chase him up to get his opinion. Interested to hear what Johnny Thunder thought too.

For a smoke that only costs a couple of Euro's they are decent. I was just using them as an everyday smoke while fishing.
The couple of local Tabacs didn't have anything decent in. These were one of a handful that I tried and were OK.
Fairly smooth and not too strong.

Encantos from the latest split. I think I am rapidly turning into a double band whore.

There are quite a few cigars that I have tried over the last months that I have enjoyed so I thought
it was about the right time to start adding the odd box or two. I do like these.
