  • Finally, THE Churchill!

I've been curious to try these for some time, so I finally bought a few:

Certainly nice & a Cuban classic, not the best taste & certainly not the strongest but it was my first Julieta No2 & it's a good place to start. Let's see a review.

Very nice, I've only ever had a few of the smaller RyJs, hope it's as good as you want it to be! Let us know what you think.

I'm a big fan of rnj, and the Churchill is a pretty good example. I think they are quite subtle which I like, but I know that some members on here think they are a bit lacking in the flavor department.

I actually liked it, although it's definitely not a stick with a strong flavor. I found it very mild and subtle, but also quite smooth and pleasant... perfect for one of those hot summer evenings.

Thanks for the tip, appreciate it. I've already written it down in my "want to smoke" list.

Agreed. It depends on what the smoker wants really, I like subtle and light, so I enjoy them. But they are never going to provide a big hit if that's what the smoker wants.

Thoroughly enjoy these, think of a smoother more refined Short Churchill, all the good bits with the rough edges knocked off.

Be interested to see how you find them, by all accounts new production sticks are supposed to be very very good!

Interested to hear what the OP thinks. I'm smoking my first one right now and found the first third a little bland but about half way through now and really enjoying a tasty (albeit light and smooth) smoke. Burning well and evenly which I was worried about given the size. I have 3 more in the humi, there are others I'll buy before I restock and will definitely try the Punch variant. But as others have said, a great summer's evening smoke (...rather than a cold rainy Easter evening!). Enjoy.
