I did notice the that a retailer had some St Patricks day cigars with green wrappers, limited market I would guess.

Unfortunately dyed cigars are all too common also unfortunately the Green Alec Bradley's are awful.

Green cigars are not dyed its a different fermentation process that makes candela wrappers, they used to be very popular and you can get quite a few NC with this wrapper

Marc, I know you want to be like "dem 'Murican rappstas" who smoke the cigar with the cello on... But you have to take the paper OFF the Filthy Hooligan before smoking it. It covers half the cigar so I thought you'd know this...

Anyway. Yes. The Candela wrappers are forged from the crust of Satan's armpits to be rubbed onto the cigars affording them the taste of his sweat. Dry, crusty, and tasting like old Soviet cigarettes, this is what the candela wrappers have to offer!
If you have ever smoked a Cuban cigar with a near-candela shade of wrapper, you will know that they aren't sought after for a reason. They end up being dry and harsh with little to no oil accumulation. Now imagine if you purposely TRY to make the cigar candela shaded...

It's the whole lack of oils, remainder of proteins kinda thing. Larger cellulose when removed of those natural oils ends up being incredibly brittle. The darker the wrappers, the more oils they normally have and therefore more pliable.
