Holiday purchases

Just got back from Langkawi with the missus. The island is duty free which makes it almost exactly the same as UK prices. The import duty in Malaysia is stupid. 50-60% off compared to mainland prices though so I was happy. Booze and chocolate was very cheap there too.

My purchases:

Yea I thought the ashtray was a bargain, they had Trini ones too but didn't look as nice.
Lighter wasn't gassed when I bought it but there was a spark so thought it would be fine. Filled it up, it ignites but doesn't hold the flame. Purged it all out and refilled, same thing. Took it apart and couldn't see anything wrong. Cleaned the nipple that connects the gas tubes but I need to get some needlenose's to connect them back up.

I could be talking utter nonsense as I do have previous for it but I believe, especially with the cheaper/knock-off jet lighters, there is a "sweet spot" with the flame setting and having it much higher or lower than this causes it to sputter and stop constantly. Bit late now that yours is already in pieces (hate to be stood in front of you in a long queue) but it may apply once you have reassembled it.

I messed about with the control for ages and it just doesn't hold. I think it's the wick maybe.
Couldn't resist taking it apart, bad point about being an engineer, think I can fix anything
