  • Calming down didn't last long.

I think I am away fishing for 48 hours next week so decided to grab myself and my mate a couple of sticks each.
Introduce him into the world of cigars while chilling and drinking lakeside. I only wanted a couple of cheap smokes
for us both so decided to go with these:

    Who you calling cheap?!?

Ahem...I don't THINK I would classify the Trinidad as a "cheap stick," chico

The Quintereos are a different matter, however.

Sorry TJ, I meant in price only.
The Trinidad is my banker smoke now, having really enjoyed the first one at the weekend.

Just a quick query about the Quintero.
Would you leave the cap off for a few days to ensure RH is right, or just place it in the humidor as is?

It wouldn't hurt to loosen the cap whilst its in the humidor.

I would suggest the Quintero's for your newbie& keep the Trini's for yourself, If he enjoys the Quinteros & fancies a smoke next time, move him up to R&J or Montes.

                    Remove that cap, sir!

Well, similar to the method of leaving a new box slightly open when introducing it to your humi, I'd remove the caps when first storing. After a few days they should have acclimated to your humidor's environment and you can then replace the caps, if you desire.

                    But that's just me amigo!

Haha! Didn't you listen to chico buttermeballs, a few posts/threads ago? You forgot the "comma" in the last sentence, you stupid looking dawg-faced smiley.

Hey El Perro! Without the comma, you've altered the meaning of the post....errr, I mean, sentence.
