Didn't there used to be a separate area for cutters, lighters, etc? Or is it just my Tapatalk app missing it out? Anyhow, I decided to address my lack of a decent cutter.

After hours of browsing, I came across the Cuban Crafters cutters and particularly liked the look of their 'revolucion' scissors. It's different to anything else I've seen, but I thought I'd first try a cheaper copy easily obtainable in the UK. So, here it is. I'm still going to get something more conventional as well.

I'll be picking them up again next week - only 6 left. I am so looking forward to my first ever Monte No 2 (the top slot) - not long now!

The Scissor thing - I have a few of this type of cutter meself. Never got on with them, actually - more for show than go, IMO. Hopefully your experience will be better.

Monty No. 2 - This can be a great puro with some age. What year is your's?

It does look quite effective with that arrangement of blades

Looks like the sort of thing that could either be brilliant or dreadful.

I'd probably be more likely to be effective if very precisely designed and manufactured, but would probably be crap as soon as there's any looseness/play in the blades or they begin to dull. Whereas a cheap Guillotine can work just fine until it goes blunt, I'd be a little weary of these.

OP it'd be interesting to see how you get on with them.

I'll try it again when I'm
home next weekend and I'll report back. It's not precisely engineered so, yes, there's a little bit of play in the blades. Otherwise it feels solid enough. The Cuban Crafters ones look better made, but they're hard to find here.

I bought a set off Ebay but, I found that it had a tendency to tear, rather than cleanly cut the cigar. Try it on a cheapy first, just in case
