Do you or have you ever quarantined cigars?

The two boxes I bought back from the DR went in the freezer to kill any of these little buggars that may have hitched a lift home.

Edamski took some great photos of his infestation. Worth a search

I have a chest freezer and was wondering if it would be good practice to quarantine cigars as and when I get them? Would it do any harm?

No harm but Cuban makers at least freeze them all before export. The box I had was made for the domestic market only so it wouldn't have been frozen. I don't think you need to worry to much. Just keep yours open for any tell tale signs.

Mine went into the chest freezer then the fridge. Should have been fridge first as well but no harm done and solved the issue [emoji4]

As mentioned you'll only need to do it on ones bought in the domestic markets and they're all frozen (at least Cubans) before export to kill them to make the risk absolutely minimal
