  • The journey begins!

So this month was bonus payday so have finally got round to really starting my cigar journey!

Bought myself a new humidor, which is yet to arrive but the few sticks recommended by people in my newbie post did! As did my ashtray!

Also, not sure how well this will go down on here but, a friend of mine that lives in California brought me some Cohiba Comador cigars! I am just getting into cigars and I am a huge (and unashamed) fan of Jay Z so he bought them! Haven't tried them yet, they are pretty big and intimidating! Anyone tried them yet or have any thoughts?

I'd buy the Comadors too, probably smoke one and keep a full box, they're bloody expensive though!

I'm not clued up in Jay Z(I know who he is, and I do like his music) are these his favourite cigars? Or are they a signature cigar?

Either way they look fantastic, look forward to your thought's.

I've never smoked the red dot cohiba's, I think it's stupid they actually have non-cuban cohibas because for me this brand is a trademark cuban; how is that not copyright infringement??

Anyway pardon my arrogance/incredibly biased inclination towards the cuban puro... How do they smoke?

I've tried all your cuban selection besides that H.Upmann minor, can say with confidence if you don't like them quit smoking cigars!

I have had a red dot that I got free in a sampler once. I though it would be utter crap but as I remember it was a decent smoke. I won't be buying any more though.
              Good pick up BigDan

Habana due to the cuba embargo the USA courts said the trademarking of cuban company names did not stand up in the USA. Pretty much all the "cuban" companies have "non cuban" name sakes. Some of the companies are run or were set up by cuban immigrants who fled the Castro regime.

Indeed there were but Cohiba is a post revolution brand so no ex-pat can claim that.
