Congrat's on having a great first trip! A modest selection to return with, you do know you could have used your wife's allowance as well? I am sure our members would have brought up any surplus (at least the ones without the glass lid boxes ). I was interested to see this yrs date on the selection box, I didn't realize they were still producing these.

Check out Breezes Jibacoa, been there twice and a really nice resort. Not commercialised liked Varadero, no kids allowed and a walk in humidor

Yeah unfortunately she was bringing some tobacco back for her old man. With regards to fakes as well I was only offered esplendidos on the street once and from afar they looked reasonable actually, wooden kid and everything [emoji39]

I looked at there and it did look very good! It's just the trip to gatwick that's and issue for the girlfriend. She's a bad traveller

Just point out that at the other end its half way between Havana and Varadero so if you're planning a two centre trip that's half the distance on third world roads.

Riu Varadero is a decent Cuban hotel ,

Im staying at the Iberostar Tainos this time ( Nov ) in Varadero , couple of hours from Havana

Cayo Blanco is a nice day trip , boat trip and beach barbecue

Varadero is touristy , big plus is all the 50,s yank tanks

Havana is a must ,

A Havana / resort split is the way to go IMO
