  • From Russia with love

When I saw a box of Russian cigars on Ebay my curiosity was piqued and when I got them for ?16 I was delighted. They pulled the auction but they were too late, payment was made and they were in the post. They arrived yesterday and once opened they are even more intriguing. They are made by 'Sabor de la vida' in Russia and hand rolled. They are called Eugene Onegin No 5 Pyramide and measure 6" x52 and they smell like Cubans. I'm wondering if they're rolled in Russia with Cuban tobacco. In Russia they cost 5400 roubles, or about ninety quid.
The packaging is even more intriguing. To start with they are in a black felt sleeve which is identical to the one on my Behikes and they come in a Behike style box. The laquer is so shiny you can't take a photo without being in it and it has the same magnetic catch and thumb cut out. All in, not bad for ?16. I'll rest them a while then try one in a few weeks.
