Can do you should be able to cut it with a standard cutter bit of a squeeze and just able to clip some off on mine. Seen quite a few people punch tiny holes in them thought that was what you were all on about. Not many large punches on the market either though.

That's why I use a punch too, I don't have a cutter that takes large RG. Also I like the neat hold a punch gives. It's never caused me any issues and certainly never had any tarring issues but my punch is maybe bigger than other. Looks like about 8-10mm maybe. I think these are good cigars and my preference is to cut a smaller hole, I like a bit of resistance.

What about multiple smaller punch holes..... Or am I just being stupid?

Not at all Marc, I have heard of that before. When I smoked that massive 80 gauge monster I did a double V cut in a cross. It worked but I think multiple punches would have been better.

I only have one punch (attached to a lighter) and it seems to work just fine for the Nubs.

Yup that looks about the same as mine, maybe a tad smaller but by no means too small. Did you enjoy it? I haven't had that sun grown and didn't know it existed.

I did. I've only smoked 3 Nubs so far (none of the Maduros yet) and they were all pleasant, which is why I decided to go for the Nub sampler box. I like the bigger RG sticks, but don't always have enough time to spare for them, so the Nubs work perfectly.

Nothing wrong with Nubs I just cant stand windtunnels of cigars where there not rolled proper and thats starting to get more common than plugged cigars

I'd have to agree rascal, windy tubes aren't a good thing and to be honest I've cut down my smoking and buying quality for the smokes I do have. The nubs I've had seem well constructed but personally a 60rg hole just fills my mouth with tobacco. I haven't had one for a while but when I do I punch it. Interestingly if I have a sig 6 I cut it with a guillotine cutter so what you say probably is true. The thing is that I love a good steak but I also like ham, egg and chips bro. I even drink primo brandy with my chips. Course the chips are homemade and kick ass.....

I'm certainly not telling myself it's fillet steak. I said the Nubs were pleasant, fillet steak smokes would be awesome/great/excellent etc. Am I happy to have a pleasant meal/smoke occasionally? Absolutely. Does every smoke need to be a fillet steak one? Nah, not for me. I'm still new to this so I view it all as a learning curve and I'm enjoying defining my own points of reference. I may get bored of that one day and only decide to smoke top cigars, but I'm not there yet.
