  • New supplies for the humi

    Hi there,
Our friends have just returned from Cuba & have bought me some supplies for my humidor.
I asked them if they didn't mind getting them for me, which they kindly obliged!
Here they are: Cohiba Siglo II

A fairly young box that will not be smoked for another couple of months..If I can resist!!

    Cheers,
    Wayne

Hi there, chico wayne. Don't be overly surprised if your new puros require more than a couple of months to be enjoyable.

They look lovely! You have some very nice friends. I think I need some of my friends to take a trip to Cuba, I'll start dropping hints...

Lovely looking box. Did you peel off the minsap health sticker? I would also freeze these cigars as they came straight from Cuba so they have not went through the freezing process that all exports do to kill off tobacco beetle larve

Very nice, its a good feeling getting a cab of anything but any Cohiba are even better. I got a cab of Sig VI last week which is exciting but also will represent a challenge as I'm aiming to try them no younger than 5yo. I'm on the lookout for an older box/cab of VI to fill the gap.

That's about the kindest thing TJs ever said to a newbee, although 'a couple' is his way of saying seventytwo. But he is right Wayne, production Cohiba do take their time to come up to their price tag and can really disappoint smoked too young.
If you want to, you can.
And, if you can, you must!

Thanks for the advice re: ageing
                            Must resist...Must resist...
I think I'll hold off until Xmas time to try one, just as a test..!
I'm going to have to get another humidor for day to day stuff & leave this one in the back of the wardrobe to mature

                            Cheers,
                            Wayne

What I am doing is buying two cabs a year to store in my scubador and smoking other stuff til they're at least five. If you want a super ready to smoke cigar try the HdM Epi 2.
