As Peejay says - they're the factory box codes. Some people take notice of them, some don't. There are sometimes particular box codes which have exquisite runs and they become sought after.

Nice. I've only recently fallen in love with SLR (so remiss of me) Sadly, a fair few of them have been culled. The PC and Lonsdale are amazing but have been snipped by the 'wise' men at HSA!
