I've got a La Rica maduro Gordo in my humi, its been in there over a year, I keep thinking I'll smoke that next time but then never do

The only La Rica smoked was a tiny slightly bigger than entreacto tubo.... it was awful and put me off the range, perhaps I should give one of the others a try?

It was smokeable but I wouldn't bother buying more of them. Had a sort of clove-y taste start to finish. I would however recommend the Juliany Robusto Maduro I had tonight, that was a nice smoke.

That La Rica was one of the first cigars I bought and smoked. It was okay, not one that I'll buy again but it wasn't a bad cigar. I keep hearing about the 601 Blue Label Maduro's though and really ought to get round to trying one. I'm interested to hear what you reckon to those anyways.

I don't know about the 601's, but they look good and I do love a good Maduro!

I've read some really fantastic reviews for them, I may buy a ten of them, or a five or whatever small denomination they come packaged in, in a few weeks depending on how things work out. It's the shipping that always puts me off so if you wanted to try one I can send one your way.

Marc I think it would have been a La Rica Tubitos you tried, really thin and short? I had one and it wasn't bad, better than a "Cohiba Club" as a quick smoke. Having said that I won't buy another

That's the one... certainly better than a Cohiba Club though... They are both only a step up from cigarettes IMO.

Monte minis in tins?...I've had the blue ones. Quite nice.

I tried the monte cristo puritos (think) slim cello wrapped 5 in a pack and they were nice. Tried the monte club style ones 20 in a pack and they were quite harsh.

Never tried the Blue and Red (does one make you wake up in reality and the other return you to blissful ignorance?).... but I have had the yellow box ones and they were not that good.
