I'm buying some of my favourite stick at the moment and putting the boxes aside. I hope we are not going to get plain packaging but this nanny state we live in I bet it's coming.

Watches and Cigars.
Vote the bastards out of office at the next election!
Surely for cigars it will just be a plain white box they slip the actual box into?
nein, mein herr...
they go to the trouble of taking all the sticks out and putting them in a green-swampy CARDBOARD box. they also put bands on of the exact same colour with some plain font that says the marca.
funny thing with the colour: they did research to see which colour was the MOST displeasing in the spectrum. they came out with this murky brown that was absolutely hideous. so hideous they deemed it too terrible so they tossed in some green to make it 'better'
ahhhhh, picture beats a thousand words.
no box codes. no bar codes. those genric bands are actually glued on to avoid the hassle of the government rubbing each and every one of your cigars.
Well there is regulations coming into force via the EU which will affect tobacco products in the UK, and like most things we will shafted more than normal. 65% warning on cigarettes exemption for cigars and pipe tobacco (though we will see what the UK implement as they could do a across the board) Flavoured cigarettes banned including menthol though pipe tobacco exempt. 30g minimum level on pouches of tobacco unsure if this will apply to pipe tobacco. These are the EU minimum standard so what the UK implement may be more stringent.
