I came home with a stinking cold, giftd by my patients & was hacked off I haven't been able to have a stick or two already, so bad I haven't even gone fishing (as it is raining constantly here too). So I have spent the last two days getting my share of Ade's collection identified & sorted out into suitable boxes & had to bring up my second coolidor from the garage as I am now officially toppers!
First I have to thank Ade for selling to Martyn & myself, sure he could have got more elsewhere. Seondly thanks to Martyn for arranging this deal & for taking time out to meet up with me & do the split. And worth saying thanks for a most civilised dividing up of the sticks. I have tried this sort of thing before & it's always a little fraught. There are some sticks you'd like to try because you have never tried them & they are now rare & difficult to find. Others you'd like to have because they are your favs. Of course the chances of you both desiring at least some of the same sticks is very high & it could have easily become a little awkard but Martyn was a real gent & it went surprisingly smoothly. Luckily some of Martyns fav's I am not so keen on or already had a goods supply of. Quite a few of those I hadn't tried Martyn had, as he was involved when some of these original sticks were brought in boxes at auction & had a share of them then.
So my idea was to keep a third, each & leave a third to be auctioned off, so other mmebers can also try some of these extrodinary smokes, as per Ade's wishes. Although we weren't counting, at home I found I had 65, a third
.
Here's a list that I have managed to compile, hope to add more details as I get more info. If anyone knows anything about the rarer sticks, I'd be delighted to hear from you (or Ade, if you read this).
