    Niiiice!!

I love the Monte 1....it's a hugely under-appreciated cigar. Construction is always excellent which can't be said for its wee brother: the #4

Indeed you don't. Always think Montes do better with 3-5yrs on them, what age are yours? Here's one I had earlier at the Hotel Nacional, a gem from the 70's & still tasting fine.Monte.No1.2011.03.11.jpg Had to import it to Cuba of course, never likely find anything aged there

I had my first d4 recently, was blown away, superb haul there, yet to try a monte 1 would be interesting to compare to a dip 1

These are almost 3 years old, and are smoking great right now, another 12 months will do them wonders for sure...
70's , wow, must be amazingly good brother...

Smokin' It was very mellow & smooth as silk. Perhaps some would have said a little too much so but I loved it.

Cheers Moon Dancer, I dragged the tux & patent leather shoes all the way there to find the majority of the clientel (Canadians I am afraid) in T's, shorts & flipfops! I know Cuba is like going to Benidorm for them but if you can't feel the history & romance of the place why bother? Here we are posing outsdie the hotel night club, one of the few regrets of that holiday was that we didn't go in.CUBA PAT 037.jpg
However the staff were duly appreciative & we got royal service, 'Crepe Suzettes Sir?'CUBA PAT 042.jpg
