Nice selection. All good buys by the look.

Well, got back last night after a horrible end to an okay day of travelling with my car being left abandoned at the side of the road 18mile from home with a dead battery due to an alternator failure and not getting through to the RAC despite being on hold for 2 hours. Finally recovered the car this morning.
Humidor in bad shape, Boveda packs dried out and my nice haul from Istanbul is in a tupperware box, going out for some oasis foam today as I have nowhere near enough space in my 25ct humidor for all my goodies.
Ill do a full update later with pics of the haul, discounts ranged from paying 27% off, to a whopping 52% off on some.

Well now I can relax. Sat smoking y first cigar since returning, couldnt resist cracking one of the new ones open, a Henri Upmann Half Corona, and it is delicious!

                                Well, here be the haul

                                image.jpg

Being a cigar newbie who has yet to try most of the brands, I felt diversity was my best route so I can see what companies I like the flavour and strength of. I didnt think buying a box of 10 or 25 would really be wise as not having tried them, I could be stuck with a cigar I dont like and not have experienced other perhaps more fulfilling smokes so the 3 and 5 packs were on the agenda.
I walked in Istanbuls lovely humidor and would end up staying in their for a good 30 minutes mulling over my choices, and so I chose....

                                Montecristo No.2 3pk
They had a wide selection of Monte's but these got the most positive reactions and even though they were more pricey than the 4's, at under a tenner each, they were snapped up first from the walk in humidor shelf.

                                H.Upmann Half Corona 5pk
the Upmann line seemed right up my alley. I wanted a shorter smoke on my list as being relatively inexperienced, a long smoke can sometimes be quite hard to stomach. And at less then ?4 a stick, a true bargain.

                                Partagas Serie D No.4 Tubos 3pk
Partagas were a dilemna. Id heard they can be quite strong and am wary of an overpowering smoke. However, the love they had made me feel. They were worth a punt.

Hoyo de Monterrey Epicure No.2 3pk (2 packs)
HdM was the brand I was insistant upon getting above any other. It was between the 2 and the especial. A good price point and some favourable opinions on here led me to pick up the No.2 and they look truly beautiful.

                                more in the next post
