Course I'd never get sticks like this from shady people because storage conditions, know how, etc. He's got an awesome rep especially when other offers include Edmundo Dante 52s for 900 dollars and BHK56s for only 400 (all still too high for my liking).
I don't doubt the likelihood of broken telephone if this box has switched over 3 owners over the years but at least now I'm guaranteed a way to tell meself (still amazed you can with Post-wwi Canadian Cuban cigars!). I guess I'll never be 100% sure unless we know it's had one owner, or I bring it into a geologist

Ok - how does he know they are 1922, the question is for education.

I asked my mate. He pointed out the same thing that.....
Tux guy above us pointed out. Ge spotted the date on the green sticker. Has it printed: "Series of 1922" on it.

      Boy is my face red!

Series of 1922 actually doesn't mean that much..that's why we ask...
It was a tax stamp first issued in Oct 1921 & still being used very much later. Even post 1935 they were still used by Wilson's, & yours has a very high No.
The reason I believe they are 1928 or later is because the box litho changed in 1928 for less elaborate banding which I can see in your photo..
obviously, your particular box is a Xmas special so that may help somebody narrow it down even more...

If you research on line with label specialists they may recognise the artist...the guys at InStoneInc may be able to help but they are mainly USA focussed...doesn't hurt to ask...
