5 cigars today. 2010 RASS and 2008 Dippy 4 by way of ordnance and 3 '99 (SUA EHOO) Partagas Astorias. I might have bought more, but the split was kept to low numbers giving as many BOTL as possible a chance to get some.

All it requires is a will, some imagination and enterprise and a complete trust in your split partners.
Lets say you Pete fancied something hard to find or something you couldn't quite stretch to full box on. Say Partagas Charlottes. There's enough BOTL knowledge on the Forum to tell you something about them, and if you could see sufficient interest you could field (suggest) a split.
You could legally find that box at Mitch's pending Auction. Let's say you have 5 splitters, between yourselves you appoint a Banker and agree the maximum you wish to bid inc. any Auction extras. If you win, the Banker divides the box and everyone gets their share. If you don't win the Banker returns the money to the split team.
Imagination and enterprise. The whole thing can be conducted openly and I'm pretty sure the Forum would follow the postings with encouragement and interest. You may not win, but at least you will have given it a shot.If you want to, you can.
And, if you can, you must!

It's a ten count, but the split doesn't have to be even.
Man 1. x5
Man 2. x3
Man 3. x2
Split proposer gathers in the necessary (which will include the on postage) and buys the box. Proposer then divides and posts out. Generally the Proposer keep the dress box or whatever, or allows the man buying the greatest number of cigars to have it.
And that's it. A fun way that allows a number of folk to experience a vitola. But, the only way to really experience it .... is to do it!If you want to, you can.
