  • New in the NEW Humidor

Got all these objects off the net for only $109 (69.99quid).

These are all the small parts:
-Got 4 foam pucks. They seem to hold around half as much as the pucks i have in my other 3 humidors. But they're also around a fourth of the price.
-Got 2 hygrometers. Should've dished out an extra dollar to get the ones that are MUCH better looking. These ones are not attractive... I'll throw them in some wet salt and then compare them to my hygrometer/barometer/thermometer i use to detect hurricanes (yes i know i'm in Toronto)
-3 torch lighter. Needs thumb power. When i say needs, i MEAN needs. Only gonna use it for a backup one if I'm out of splints AND out of fuel.
-Cigar Caddy Travel Humidor. Alas, a name brand!
All reviews say it's airtight. It's also marketed as something that can withstand 100m underwater.
Who has a U-Boat to test that out for me?? There was also a shite cutter. Don't think it'll be very good.

Main item here: 25-50 Cigar Humidor. Standard thing. Passes the whosh test. Just a regular humidor.
It says SURE SEAL/ LID TECH. Hit me over the head with a rusty rake if i know what that means.
Here's the torch lighter to compare:

And the two things that made up 50 dollars of the 110 dollar purchase:
-Cigar and Flask combo. Holds 5cl of a liquor as well as two churchill sized cigars. Aluminium case.
-Vertigo Spider Dual Torch lighter. I like this one. Nice punch cutter which is positioned so you can adjust the flame without a pesty screw driver.

Instead of the spider, I wanted the guillotine Dual lighter. It was 45 dollars and I really couldn't justify that yet when I'm out of work for the Spring till June. Sides, it's just a novelty anyways. A trusty Punch Cutter on my lighter is all i need for now

Good work! I've been having a little look around for a decent travel humidor. Let me know how you get on with it.

Liking the wee humi there and the travel jobby looks like a cigar caddy 5ct model. If so, they're good. Well, the 15ct model I've got is very dependable.

Actually . Same one as yours!
Picture Taken from the top it looks different. But it's the square shaped one with two foam layers.

How do you keep yours decently humid (especially from so much opening/closing? The humidation puck it comes with is the size of my thumb's nail...........

Nice looking travel humi, I nearly got one of these then I was given a Csonka for my birthday, that has two small humidification devices, but also a base of cedar, keeps em rock solid at 65%.

I got a Csonka as well, which I'm pleased with - the only issue I have with the product is that there isn't much of a seal so it only holds humidity for a few days before you need to refill, I know it only a travel one so not the end of the world, but if you're away for a week or more its slightly annoying you need to keep refilling it.

Although I do wish I had brought the bigger one that holds up to 14 cigars, mine holds four, which is normally the most I would need and is also the right size, but it does limit your options if you're going for a longer trip!

The thing is air tight so feedback I've got from people is that the puck can actually be a little over the top and that opening it from time to time while you're away is a must if you don't keep a lot of cigars in it.

Ah magnificient. Only bad thing is there's no room for a hygrometer
I think i'll go make one out of my mate's hair. It should be around 5% deviation. But it's what i'll have to deal with now......
