Mixed Emotions?

Well chaps - I wasn't sure where to place this, but i thought it worth sharing nethertheless!

But first let me rewind to last Friday, my best bud gives me a call, it's been far too long since we have shared a beer / dram, and we agree on a night of debauchery tonight (03/05/13).
It's been a long week, I've been in the office every day for the last 12 days, and I awake to my beloved thrusting a card in my face.

That is never a good thing.

Not only do I have a card - but 3 packages. One from our friends at Cgars. One, from one of my other favorite online outlets (TWE) and a book.
Emotions at this stage are mixed between elation and dread. Something is definitely wrong - random acts of generosity do not happen in my household!! - Have I dropped the ball?

A quick read of the card confirms my worries. I have dropped the ball on a monumental scale. Not only have I forgotten our anniversary - but I've planned a nights drinking with my friend, on our anniversary to boot!
On the bright side, I am very happy that my beloved had the good taste to not only replace the Siglo I she stole from me the other day, but complete my humidor with a Esplendido ;-)

Hahaha! Excellent post! I do hope you manage to survive this Bank Holiday weekend (or have somehow managed to save the situation through other means). You certainly wouldn't want to upset such a generous lady (and with such impecable taste).

Gents, thank you for your concern - I am happy to report that I am alive, and still have the use of my fingers.

The better half has assured me that this lapse of concentration can be remedied, providing I take my time, and deeply consider what I am going to buy her to atone for my sins. #IdeasRequired
Could this end up being the worlds most expensive Esplendido?

The trick is to set the wedding around a date that is easily remembered, our wedding was one week after my birthday, so I always have a nice reminder the week before that I need to get something sorted!

Of course the major drawback is that if I ever do forget, I really have no excuse...
