A quick trip to Chester..

Now Turmeus Chester is open on a Sunday, I Thought i'd treat the wife to a trip to the Shopping village nearby...

"As were so close i might just nip to Chester for a couple of sticks luv!! "...... Rumbled.... but still.. got some cigars so everyone's a winner.


Picked up a couple of MC Petit Edmundo
Upmann Connoisseur 1 (never tried)
2 Punch not so big ones (cant remember.. maybe petit corona (never tried ))
Partagas short (Love Partagas but not tried this)
Juan Lopez Orchant selection (not tried)
and a ERDM Demi tasse (couldn't believe how small but had to try cos opinion divided)

Also bought one of the new 5 tins of Upmann half coronas.. love these.. but wanted the tin for taking a few when i nip for a pint.

I wanted to get a few of the new Upmann Robusto but they've not sent any from London yet...

I needed a spare cutter so got one of the Palio ones... just tried it and found it pretty good. I have a Xikar Xi1 Lovely feel to it but i don't think its as sharp as the Palio, anyone else have a Xikar?? what's your thoughts on them?

Anyway enough from me, back to my Upmann HC with ninja cut edge.

P.S... great staff in there, would loved to have stayed an had a smoke with Calum a very nice guy, but left wife and kids in a dodgy carpark round the corner so thought better not push my luck.

Turmeaus Chester is a favourite, lovely shop. Cheshire Oaks less so (spent half of Saturday there).

Nice haul! The Petit Edmundo, Party Short and Demi Tasse are some of my go-to sticks. Hope you enjoy them.

I'm looking forward to trying them, I do like the Upmann blend so i'm sure this'll be a good un'

I only really called in for the Petit Edmundo's and the tin for the HC, but you get talking to the staff and you can't help but try what they're telling you are good.
The demi tasse i'm not expecting much from, but for 4 quid i had to try is as it seems to split opinion.

A stoke of luck this week.. My wife had picked up the wrong sizes on some of the clothes we bought, so i was more than delighted to suggest we returned to swap them.... *Quick phone call to Turmeus...

I ordered a Xikar axia lighter and a couple of Upmann Robusto's to be sent from the London sho to meet me in Chester.
Also picked up another Xikar slim hygrometer for my tupperdor experiment i've set up for extra stash, and a few sticks to make the trip worthwhile.

I also ordered a couple of extra shelves for my Adorini Bari humi so i can just store sticks in that and boxes in the tuppador.

Got to say, the lighter's awesome so far... Just lit an Upmann HC while tea finishes cooking, and will try in on a bigger stick later.

Will do.... Bought them as a tester to buy a box or two, can't decide whether t give them a month or two or just bite the bullet and try one, see how it goes then try other and compare see if i want to order any...
Are they too young to make any decisions ???
Very surprised when i saw them... the wrapper is so much darker than other Upmann's... is it a Maduro wrapper ???
