I've just got back from the post office where I picked up a little parcel, opened it up to be greeted by this sight


It's a box of the Toro Gordos that I reviewed a little while back. The box is a work of packaging art, the lid is hinged at either end and the front of the box has a little hinged section so that the box opens to a counter dispay



It's just a shame the weather's so crappy today, these are a long smoke and I'd love to take one out for a walk in the country

Not heard of them before, what are they made from? (Wrapper, filler etc where are they from)

What's the taste profile like?

They're Nicaraguan. The taste is spicy and sweet with very full bodied smoke. My full review is here :

One on its own looks impressive enough (6" x 60), a box of 15 is slightly intimidating

i have not heard of them either and im quite into nicaraguan cigars (apart from viking cigars they are really really bad!) i just bought a couple of chinchelero cigars and i really likes the maduro ones (the normal ones are ok i got the perla and novillo but not one you would sit alone with to savor the flavour but ok as a smoke in company) nub are one of my faveorite smokes (i admit i stick to the camaroon 58 the bigger ones are nice but i was just comfy with the flavour and strenth of the camaroon 58)
