After some feedback on here, bought these -

Construction is very nice, look really good with an oily feel to the stick and they are

Got a box myself last March/April. About 3 left.....

Brilliant cigar, though I think the Sir Winston pips it.

Hmmm, don't want to start the usual plume/bloom argument but those sticks in the third picture down look a tad 'fluffy' to me, and if you got them the same place as you got those cracked Monty A's in your other thread I'd be a bit worried...

They was a bit of white bloom on the cigar, just needs a wipe with a paper cloth and they are fine.
        They look perfect.
Monty As at a guess look like they have been cooked at one point in their life, it happens, I was the first ever to look at them and the supplier cannot be blamed. I am not blaming them and have a humidor full to bursting with their cigars. Cuba to supplier and then to me and always locked in box, who knows when it happened.
I am working my way up to the sir winston and am looking forward to trying them.

No worries, just both seemed like potential side effects of over humidification, but as long as your happy, and they smoke well, all's good

You could be right about the over Humidity, I was just guessing, they are tightly sealed in these coffins and I could not see a way that anything could affect them other than heat. Never had a problem before, so a wild guess. Will see how supplier deals with the problem.

Supplier dealt with the problem, refund and keep the cigars was the outcome.
Next step is google, How to repair cigars for smoking.

Pretty decent way of dealing with it... do you think they can be rescued?

Nice pick up, they are one of the best DCs. Not had the Sir Winston but the Punch DC is another great smoke!

The end is no problem, either cut or just smoke.
The splits, I was thinking superglue or similar.
This is just to allow it to be smoked.

                      Step back from your cigars!!
                      Don't do it..

Try and get hold of some 'Torcedors Glue' (Google - available in the UK), failing that just smoke em as they are.
                      As nature intended.
Trust me.. your tastebuds will thank you.

+1 With the Cat. I would also allow them to rest & allow them to reach more normal humidity. They'll smoke better; minor splits to the foot like these are just an asthetic problem, though if I am keeping them I'd use a little pectin.
