Bet you cant wait the count down of the 12 days of Christmas!
Not had many tubos, other than Upmann Monarchs - kind of wrote them off for a long time as something only those without a Humi would buy; hoping to be won over by this lot though ... ?
Yesterday it was a few Padillas sourced by our very own Gman. The miami churchill and the 1948 Robusto...This is the best NC ive had to date and ive had opus x, tdp and a couple other "top brands". These need to be tried if you have not done so already.
A Nub and a Stub was also included in the package...they will have their face off at the weekend.
Got a nice 5 stick package from CJ with a few sticks ive yet to try and my favorite RyJ churchill.
Made my day. Ive got some humidor arranging to do now...
I like that people here use a lot of pictures, that makes me wanna spend money
a little package with singles arrived for myself:
2x Bolivar Petit Belicosos Edicion Limitada 2009
1x Bolivar Royal Coronas
1x Por Larranaga Lonsdale Edicion Regionales
1x Romeo Y Julieta Short Churchill
You may think you can fly, but you better not try ..
Daverave999, I just read your blog entry. If the motivation to buy the Secretos was the box why didn't you just ASK! I think I have an empty 25 box around here somewhere, not sure. Even if I don't I can grab one within a couple of weeks!
A good Italian friend of mine likes these as a daytime smoke but I struggle to enthuse about them. Do let us know if you love them, I fear I continue to just miss something in my lack of love for Cohiba, perhaps you can shed light on it for me.
Kdot, twelve Punch Churchill cigars gratis, you lucky sod! LOL How do these compare to the Hoyo and RyJ Churchills?

"In Italy for 30 years under the Borgias they had warfare, terror, murder and bloodshed, but they produced Michelangelo, Leonardo da Vinci, and the Renaissance. In Switzerland they had brotherly love, they had 500 years of democracy and peace, and what did that produce? The cuckoo clock!"
I've been meaning to give them another try for a while, but rather than just buy a single, I saw the price for the 10-box so thought I'd give 'em a go. It's the first 'nice-looking' box I've bought and what I meant was that that was factored into the purchase. The tipping point, perhaps.
I've actively avoided Cohiba and Montecristo right from the very start of my cigar smoking as they get the hype, but it wasn't going to last forever so I've been drip-feeding them in occasionally.

Its a stronger smoke than the Hoyo and RyJ. So serves for a better after dinner smoke. Flavour evolves quite a bit from a fruity start to a spicey finish. A very smooth flavorsome cigar.
To me its like a smaller version of the DC, just a little less intense.
I hold a special place in my humidor for the punch churchill, it was one on the first cigars I tried, being available in aluminum tubes at the local delicatessen. I always keep a dozen or so in hand and light one up to reminisce days gone by...sunrise, sunset...
Good to know. Not a frequent Punch smoker, usually default to the Hoyo Churchill or DC. Lascaux has gotten me back into the Partagas Lusitanias, but I shall keep the Punch in mind, cheers.
