As I understand it, this chap is Archey himself. A remarkable photograph given the time-period...

The finest roller that never was. We'll miss you Archey...

Anyway, back on topic. More gorgeous photos as ever guys.

        • First ever order

I recieved my first order of cigars today. I placed my order then fell asleep for 24 hours and when I woke up they had arrived. Great service from CGars.Ltd.

          La Paz Gran Corona
          Charatan Tubed Corona
          Quintero Tubulares
          Guantanamera Minutos
Henri Wintermans Tubed Corona De Luxe
          La Rica Tubitos

These are the first proper cigars I've ever had and I look forward to trying them all out. I hope to have a little more money next time I order so I can try some Cuban smokes.

          • Just a bit of NC soft porn today, to quote skyhigh.

Always nice to come back home from a few days of travel and find a little parcel waiting .

            Thanks G-Man!

            • Always top service from CGars. Perhaps they should use your experience as a tag line, Carrot? "Order online, delivery before morn' time..." Awful, I know... there's a damn good reason I'm not in marketing.

PS. I apologise greatly for not forewarning you about the Guantanamos (sorry, Guantanameras). The others stack up as good value smokes - I believe MrB was impressed with the cigar from the La Rica line which he reviewed a couple of months ago (see here).

              • Nicely proportioned sticks you're showing there from G-man, MT. Just a shame about the cellophane wrappers...

The wrappers might or might not go off, not sure yet.

Given it seems to be one of those subjects BOTLs fight over, i'll not even go there... at least not here .

                              • Today in the post arrived a new variation (for me anyway) on an old friend. I love the HdM double corona, my "go-to" smoke. Well a box of HdM Churchill's came up for sale and they are only marginally smaller in dimension to the double corona so I thought give them a go. I do not know if the blend is totally different but we shall soon see.

The box is dated March 2001.

"In Italy for 30 years under the Borgias they had warfare, terror, murder and bloodshed, but they produced Michelangelo, Leonardo da Vinci, and the Renaissance. In Switzerland they had brotherly love, they had 500 years of democracy and peace, and what did that produce? The cuckoo clock!"
