Postie dropped in my latest treat this morning

I've not tried this type of Bolivar yet so I'm looking forward to getting stuck into one tomorrow night.

July '09 box code so hopefully these are ready to go now?

A lovely box of tubos you have there, chico. I have the same box in don TJ's massive humidor, except mine are March 2010. Smoked one a few weeks ago and determined they need more time. Hopefully, yours will be in better shape, but being tubos, who knows.

Let us know how they are, muchacho.

I have a box of FEB 11 I bought in Cuba. Tried a couple but they're just too much. Gonna try to avoid them for another year at least.

        Woo these boys are powerful!

Typical Bolivar flavours, creamy, spice, earth and a touch of chocolate. Tons of smoke and a nice easy draw, lovely!
Now, for the rest of these my humi, leave them in the tubes or take them out - what is the done thing?

I leave them in the tubes. No particular reason. I just do

Some claim they age differently in a tube...

Nope! Picked up mine at Dunhill of London during the 2009 inaugural cigar walk, featuring senors brokenwing, robusto, Cohiba IV, CJ, and the late, but great stogiedawg!

It was the last one they had, so I scooped it up! Thanks to mi amigo, senor CIV for lugging it around during the walk....it's a heavy son of a gun!

Will try to pick one up someday soon. Perhaps when the missus' maternity is over it's easier to justify paying for

Pretty sure I had found one online last night but it would've cost around ?150...

Still, perhaps a good reason to wait. Don't want to pay for an out of date version

I believe the new version is additional to the first book not just an update..

                          But I could be wrong.

I nearly sold mine a few months back but just couldn't let go of it. ?150 is a little steep tho don't you think?

I recalculated - it's more like ?130. Still steep though. I have other financial priorities for the moment at least

Why would you sell it, amigo? it's a great reference book, albeit a bit dated.
