Tiger Force.
True story about a fifty man elite unit fighting in advance positions in the Vietnam war. One of America's most highly decorated units, they were brutalised in training, threw well inside enemy country and lost most of there numbers through heavy casualties. Small patrols left for weeks/months behind lines and fending for themselves.
Guess what happened next ?
These cats eventually lost the plot.
For seven months beginning in May 1967, Tiger Force descended into a moral abyss and started skining, scalping, torturing, raping, hacking off ears and making necklaces, mass killings of civilians, etc, all behind enemy lines.
A war crime investigation ran from 1971 to 1975, but nothing came of it, due to the army closing ranks etc.
Brutal read, not for faint hearted.
