  • Who's a muso?

I get the impression that there are quite a few musicians on the forum. If you are one why not tell us what you play and in what capacity (full time pro, just for fun pub band or anything in between). Links to websites or myspace pages would be good too.

I'm a freelance drummer/percussionist. I teach 2 days a week and spend the rest of the time playing for various bands & orchestras. I do quite a lot of musical theatre stuff as well as working with a singer/songwriter called Anton Vann. I also do the odd recording session from time to time.

    Hi Pauldrums

I play keyboards in an originals band called PENTHOUSE. We took delivery today of some tracks recorded a month or so ago which have just been mastered. This is personally very exciting.

You can see/hear some PENTHOUSE stuff here on my YouTube channel, along with other band work and solo work.

I have been working at a professional level with Nine Below Zero and Ben Mills recently. This is a thrill because I'm actually a Head of Music in a secondary school who loves to take flight from all things to do with teaching. It's fine... but I need to perform and do other things...

You can catch some other stuff here:

I love the joy of playing well, and the comradeship of a tight band of similarly thinking mates. You can make your own private club.

Much like through cigar brotherhood, really.

There are two tracks in there which Drewmidorn and I wrote and played/recorded together. Cigars and musicianship together. Perfect.

Used to write, produce and gig full time (20 years ago). Guitar is my real instrument, but can (used to be able) to turn my hands to bass, drums, keys, clarinet and trombone.

Shocking how much I have forgotten.

What a vile man he is! I'd like to say he's a personal friend but I'd be lying!

              I've been known to play/write/produce a little!

I've been playing bass and a bit of guitar since I was about 16, in and out of various amateur bands, but these days I rarely pick it up. Last time was father's day when I snuck off for an hour or so

The ever-so modest senor Robusto is also the author of the UKCF hit single "Senor Serious"[*] and other puro related songs. I hope some day he will compose a UKCF anthem that can be played over the Home Page.

                  Names TJ, TJCoro

Hey TJ! Don't forget to tell the lads that a link to "Senor Serious" can be found on the home page!

I've been learning to play the 5 string banjo for a while now. Just for my own entertainment.

I spent some time learning clawhammer style and didn't really get far. This year I switched to 3 finger style and it has taken off a bit but I'm nowhere near ready for anyone else to hear me.

Mandolin is next on my list but that will be a year or two away I fear.

I've played bass guitar in a few bands and some keyboards in a couple of others. Not in a band at the mo but wouldn't mind joining a blues band local to where I live, who don't take it too seriously and have nothing to prove. Last band was www.myspace.com/thenewassassins it's been a while since I've logged into the site but presume it still works? I'm at work at the mo so can't see.
