He is the Nub Man!

Many of you who were there will remember the Nub launch at JJ Fox and will have met the charming Sam Leccia, even had cigars rolled by hi, I know I did.

Not sure about the exact story but he appeared to have been dumped by the parent company and his Nub cigars were pulled into a small brand group. It appears he didn't fit the marketing plan/budget and was surplus to requirements.

Anyway, I don't know how many of you are on twitter but I've just seen this post and you might like to follow him to be sure you get the griff first...

Not a big fan of this new crop of cigar celebrities. Do we really need to see these guys everywhere? Just bring out a decent cigar and if you must promote it to death then just bring out the dancing girls in bikinis for us and have done with it.

I hear you Jacob but Sam is for real. He was promoted to death for a while but having met him at the UK Nub launch and chatted on Facebook over the months he is a real nice young man.

He started Nub in his garage and it was all his own work.

His cigars have a lot of fans here and it will be interesting to see what develops, having said that I am as cynical as you about US cigar brand overhype, over priced and over here!

Personally, I was/am a big fan of Nub cigars. Was initially wary of the hype but was a total convert after trying them.

Anyone know the story behind Sams departure from Nub ??
