I can't get on Facebook at work. It's a boring site IMO, but I've noticed the kids I teach can get round the ban and open it via a mirror or proxy site? WTF does that mean? And Deano - Can you advise Dundee chops pubes how to get round his problem, and how I can get on Facebook if I'm bored at work?

Yeh an open proxy is the best choice. Though they'll eventually ban that, you can just use another.

They're slow though, as you're literally using someone elses net connection via your own, to surf the web.

Just google 'anonymous proxy' and use one of them.

didnt know about this proxy stuff but I use logmein and just surf via my pc at home so no blocked sites. Handy for setting up downloads while at work too

I must admit I'm not up on exactly how they do block stuff, but it might also be worth just trying the IP.
