  • Cigar Register / Diary

    Deano

I have found this electronic cigar register / diary. I have downloaded the program and use it on my computer. I find it very useful to keep track of all of my cigars, it has a very large cigar database that includes just about all cigar types. It includes the ability to keep a track of RHs, Temps, details about smoke records etc. You do not have to share the information with other users if you do not want too (I choose not too).

The download is free, it is a bit akward to get set up but once on its ok to use. I will post the link I would appreciate your comments on the program.

It may be something that other forum members may wish to use?

You may have come across this before and disgarded it?

cigarregister.com is your first and best source for all of the information you’re looking for. From general topics to more of what you would expect to find here, cigarregister.com has it all. We hope you find what you are searching for!

Just thought it might be of interest.
I see you stand like greyhounds in the slips,
Straining upon the start. The game's afoot:
Follow your spirit, and upon this charge
Cry 'God for Harry, England, and Saint George!'

    The Dawg.

I like the idea of keeping a record of smokes. TopCubans lets you fill something in like this. Ten years ago I would have written up a ledger in ink pen. I'd be interested in trying this if someone else can say it's fault-free. Meanwhile I take pictures of good cigar moments.

You should stick to taking your pictures. I have a similar program and it has gotten pretty boring. Your pictures are much more entertaining. I have begun a similar venture.

You're right there Larry - I used a similair program and after the initial buzz of entering of all your cigars and printing off your collection, it gets old quickly

Sounds cool. Maybe I could sort out an 'online humi' for our BOTLs.

As I said before, I wondered if we should create a wiki for all our cigar info...

I like the sound of that. As I'm a n00b I'm reluctant to 'review' what I smoke, but would be quite happy for my own personal notes to be made public.

What is an online Wiki? I know you entered something about it before...

I'd gladly keep notes on here about smokes. We already do occasionally when we write reviews.

I've been using Stogie Rate (http://www.stogiefresh.com/stogie_rate3.htm) for a couple of years now and swear by it. Lets me know everything I need to know about my inventory (like where the hell a particular 'gar might be hiding amongst my plethora of humidori).

                        Tell, tell, sputty old boy.

I actually helped Doc Stogiefresh with some of the recent upgrades, so if you let me know what you don't like and/or what you'd like to see in StogieRate, I can bend his ear.

Yes. True. However, I believe it is well worth the price.

I would like to have the cigars already in the database with their dimensions and a photo of the stick to compare. I also don't like how to add new cigars. It's kind of more time-consuming than I think it should be.

I do like how easy it is to add your own picture of a cigar and how it calculates cost for you.

Basically, I think what most people are looking for is a checklist of cigars that they can keep track of in the software. Not a journal where you build your own information to create cigar profiles.
