  • Walking or sitting still

Nice sunny day, I thought I would take the opportunity to take a cigar with me on my walk from the studio in Regents Park into Marylebone High street where I had to drop something off and this got me thinking...Walking or Sitting still, how do you prefer yours.

I have to say it was fairly windy and I suspect this made the burn a bit faster than usual (and judging by the shape of the ash; which got very pointy)

So I sat on a sheltered bench and watched the world go by.

    How do you prefer yours?

I prefer sitting alone outdoors with a drink and taking my time real slow. I like to think and relax and watch the world go by.

Nic I am with Robusto sitting and relaxing>
I see you stand like greyhounds in the slips,
Straining upon the start. The game's afoot:
Follow your spirit, and upon this charge
Cry 'God for Harry, England, and Saint George!'

Definitely sitting down, preferably outside in the sunshine with a Hoegaarden or a nip of sloe gin

Sitting, chilling and thinking (of not much/sometimes lots). Quite like driving with a stick too.

The warmer weather seems to make the cigar taste better to me.
Definately sitting, relaxing and preferably looking out over the seashore somewhere nice and warm.

                      Hola Senor Nicwing,

Regarding your question, I guess it comes down to how much you respect your fine puros.

To truly maximize the enjoyment of my finest, I prefer doing nothing, nothing at all, other that enjoying the pleasure of the finest leaf in the word - Habana puros.

I leave the walking, talking and mowing shit to the many non-cubans taking up valuable real estate in my humidor.

Names TJ, TJCoro, and I don't mix smoking my finest puros with anything else.

Sometimes I am just like TJ. Excluding all else as I try to connect with that beautiful creation which is a cigar.

However some of my best times have been when I have had the chance to share the experience with a good friend. Comfortable chairs, tried and trusted company with a ready "barman" has elevated my enjoyment to the level of great memory.

I choke if I walk whilst smoking a cigar. I try, but I just can't help it and it ruins the experience.

Sitting. You might as well have asked the same question about a pint of Guinness to my mind!

Definitely sitting down relaxing, never considered a nice cigar while walking.
