I've used a Google image of this guy - stetson, big cigar - as my Facebook avatar from time to time.
I have no idea what he represents. I know he's a Texan so I'm sure I could half guess the territory.
I could be flying an Adolf. I don't know.
Would I be?
That's not why I'm writing.
The other day I was in Rough Trade records near Brick Lane. As I ordered a coffee from the bijou cafe at the front, I looked at about six short story books written by Kinky Friedman. I nearly bought one for the cigar iconography on the cover, to be frank, but didn't because Rough Trade records seems to charge pretty heftily for its books and records. Gorgeous as they are.
I just wondered if anyone on here has read any of Kinky Friedman's books and could spill some beans about them, please.
From personal experience. Not from Google cut and paste.
