the english guys look like they're bricking it, and so they should be!!!! that american nazi skinhead is a scary mutha, more so because of the calm restrained way he's communicating with them and his 'matter of fact' description of how dangerous he is!!!
i know capital punishment doesn't solve anything, but it sure makes the victim's and theie families feel a helluva lot better!!!!

Going back to when I was at yooni, I had to study contract law for a year. Now this is Scottish law, but there is probably equivalencies in English law. I may get this wrong, coz it's been a long time, but bear with me.
In Scottish law, a girl under 12 and a boy under 14 is regarded as a "pupil" and has no legal capacity to act on their own behalf. In other words, they cannot be tried for breaking the law except in certain circumstances and I can't remember what the circumstances are! Suffice to say that it's VERY rare for a "pupil" to be prosecuted.
On reaching 12 and 14, a "pupil" becomes a "minor" until the age of 18 (or 22 in certain circumstances.) The "minor" becomes responsible under the law for certain crimes but not all. This especially applies in cases of theft and other financial crime. Whereas an adult may be required to pay back money stolen or received unlawfully, a "minor" is not required to do so. The "minor" is also able to use "special litigation" in other crimes, i.e. violence. This usually means that they will be tried before a Children's Panel and will be punished far less severley for infractions than adults.
From a personal point of view, I find these distinctions out of date as kids are maturing much faster these days and certainly, these distinctions should be looked at (if they haven't already been?)
Sorry to be such a bore, but I thought you might like to know the background. No man has the right to fix the boundary of a nation.
No man has the right to say to his country, "Thus far shalt thou go and no further."

Not that I see a problem with that - pack 'em in and give 'em bread and water, I say.--------------------------------------------------
