seems like we didn't grease enough palms, and so FIFA, how did the multi billion pound country of Qatar get the other one ? of course they are a famous soccer country, even though they have never qualified for a world cup , and it will be about 40 degrees there in the tournament

Also i would have thought seeing how terrorists blame the USA and it's lapdog the UK for the world problems i personally wouldn't want to host an international event were we only have to fail once for them to win to be a good idea at the moment. Would have been nice to host but no great loss.

I think the last commonwealth games will make us look good but you know the will be a massive build up and hype then we will win hardly any medals. I think the events will be built on time but massively over budget and the transport to get people to the events will be a joke. What else should we expect these days lol. I'm not worried just resigned to the fact this country is picking up speed as it rolls down hill. Rant over lol.

I got so bloody sick of people having a go at the Beeb and Sunday Times for doing their jobs - FIFA were more concerned at having a go at journalists rather than their own corrupt members. I think their response tells you a great deal about their organisation.

If they really voted against us because of the reports in our press then I'd rather have a free press than the world cup.

The jurno's made very little difference, even if we take 2018 out of the equation how the hell did Qatar wipe the floor with their 2022 win? A country smaller than Wales, with essentially one town, not enough population to leave any significant legacy, some pretty repressive laws, why did they get such a massive vote, what do they have to offer ......hmmmmmm could it be huge bags of money ....just a thought?
