Heavy Rain

Anyone ever played this PS3 game? I've just started it.

It's unreal. Unbelievable graphics, entertaining gameplay, but above all else, an incredible plot. It's exactly like playing an interactive movie. The plot is kinda along the lines of Seven or Zodiac, with a film noir element.

Highly recommended.

Ive heard it's amazing and I would LOVE to see this released on the Xbox but apparently it can't handle the game engine....or so the maker would have us believe lol

Apparently Sony are releasing it for the move controllers to...I shall be hoping Santa has this for me come Christmas ....

Yeah, when I played it for the first time the other day, it updated to version 2: Move Edition. I don't have Move controllers but it's good to know that if I bought them I could play without having to buy a new copy of HR

I've played the demo and it's very much on my 'to get' list. Might wait until January though.

im normally completely on top of gaming, but what's the move controller? sony's version of project natal/kinect?

i'm a massive fan of games that ooze atmosphere... the early silent hills, bioshock 1

im currently playing final fantasy XIV online, its been massively slated due to a rushed launch but I love it!

I did hear comparisons to Silent Hill's atmosphere, they are my favourite games ever. Might have to give HR a go.

On a side note, I'd be very interested to hear what you have to say about FFXIV Lascaux!

The Move is basically a really, really good version of the Wii remote.

Heavy Rain wears atmosphere like a suit - as I said, it's full on film noir stuff, and for that it's just perfect.

Do you like older games? You really need to try System Shock 2 (if you haven't already). After the Thief series, it's probably the most atmospheric game I've ever played.

If you do check out SS2 (which I also love) then there are 2 good mod packs for it that update a lot of the models and the texture resolutions.
