  • Cigar_Addicts Cabin Build Project

Whilst I sit here, with some rare time on my hands, unable to smoke due to the horrible weather, I am going to bore you with what I hope will be a solution to this dilemma.

Having recently found some other threads on people's cabins & sheds, it has stirred my imagination on what might be one day for me my own place to enjoy cigars all year round.

So, our garden. We moved in in 2015 to a 50's house (still very much in the 50's) and an overgrown garden with enormous trees. Before we started building our extension we used the access (after knocking the garage down) to get a lot of the garden sorted.

Being south facing it was barely getting any sun due to the multiple giant trees. The extension needed foundations & a soakaway so we had all that done at the same time

I dug in a pond & my dad & I set about adding the border for the artificial lawn

Beyond the connifers is another section which was going to be turned into a veg garden, but has become a bit of a dumping ground. Toying with removing the connifers and placing the cabin there as the garden tapers in the further up you go.

I have since added in a deck to the rear of the rear extension...

...and a BBQ deck past the Magnolia tree (surrounded by sleepers)

I will update this the more I plan & proceed with the ambitious project

Glad to hear it! Sure you won't regret it. I still smoke in the garden on sunny, dry days but should a shower approach I am inside & enjoying it in comfort. Certianly means more smoking is more evenly spread between summer & winter, although I suspect I'll always smoke more in warm sunny weather.
