So with my interest in cigars rekindled, it seems karma has kicked me in the knackers and dropped a foot of snow outside!

I have long thought of the best way to heat myself while having a smoke in the garden, but I can't decide on the best option. I usually sit on raised wooden decking at the back of the garden which has no electricity run to it, so electric heaters are out unless I hire a sparkly, I believe they are also quite costly to run. Then there's a butane burner or fire pit/chimenea, but the idea of flames on a wooden decking don't seem quite right to me. What do you all do to keep warm while smoking outside?

Wooden decking aside, for me you can't beat sitting beside a fire pit enjoying a cigar

Fire spoils the cigar aroma! I have an extension and an electric patio heater ... or a nearby pub with heaters and booths. That no one in their right mind .. except me sometimes use in the winter...

I think I may finally have this CAD under control...

Been there! ...It's a case of wrap up and go for it..good hat, jacket and socks etc...or get a shed!

maybe try a hot water bottle in your jacket

I tend to smoke a pipe more in winter for a shorter smoke that's easily abandoned..But i do have a shed now with wifi and leccy (with extractor and electric heater) so I'm nicely set

Cheers all! Sadly no dog and not quite enough snow for an igloo haha.

Interesting point about the smell of smoke interfering with the appreciation of the cigar. I hadn't thought about that, but it makes perfect sense. I have a pub just up the road from me that recently reopened, and they are planning an outdoor area to be completed by the summer. Fingers crossed for heaters so I can use it all year round!

Build a cabin, smoke in comfort all year round.
