Yesterday I watched the first two episodes of a new series on Disney+ called 'Red Election'. I saw two people murdered and a woman beaten almost to death by an assassin. Disney however thought it more important to warn me of the following....
Makes me laugh I saw that warning on another one of Disney's series's( forgot the name) where a woman got kidnapped and raped nothing in the warnings about that though but I guess us smokers are the problem in society
It's a pretty perverse society we live in in a lot of ways nowadays, this just being another example.
The one that makes me laugh (though it shouldn't) is the Scottish government trying to organise shooting galleries for heroin users, but try suggesting a smoking lounge for cigar smokers... No chance! You guys South of the border are lucky in that respect.
I'm re-watching Chernobyl. I was amused last night to see the Amazon (?) warning of 'violence, bad language and smoking'. The biggest nuclear disaster the world has ever known has nothing in terms of impact on today's sensibilities compared with Jared Harris chain smoking as he tries to save the continent.
