Definitely an interesting read--I'd never thought of Brosnan as a tall man; he always struck me as short, so this altered my conception quite a bit. Doesn't like the Cohibas, though...hmmm.
You can often tell a person's age, generally, by their favorite Bond, and mine too was Moore, but Craig, at least in the first installment, won my vote. Got me thinking, though--time for a new poll?

I love the band movies, however it's the books that really do it for me. The funny thing is I think the best bonds (but not necessarily the best movies) with regards to the books are Daniel Craig, George Lazenby and Timothy Dalton. Bond is a hard character (I don't just mean physically tough) and in some of the books basically undertakes the roll of assassin. One thing that sticks in the mind is the description of his "cruel" mouth.
I do love Sean Connery's bond, especially early on and Roger Moore was entertaining and without doubt the campest. Roger Moore does for James Bond what Peter Ustinov does for Hercules Poirot... he creates a character that almost solely shares a name with the character from the books and little else!
.... and after all that..... Live And Let Die is my favorite bond movie! lol

Hard to say what my favorite film is, though my favorite song is definitely Live and Let Die, disregarding the terribly over-prepositional line, "But in this ever-changing world in which we live in." Ouch.

I'm a big Band fan myself. Have always loved the films but recently I've been working my way through the books and loving them (with the exception of The Spy Who Loved Me).
Got the complete movie set on DVD from my missus last Christmas and promptly watched them all one by one. It was the first time I'd watched a lot of them for a long time, and the thing that struck me was how good Timothy Dalton was in the role. I remember not being his biggest fan when I first saw them but this was my first viewing since reading the books and I reckon that's changed my mental image of the ideal Bond.

I always rated Dalton because he took on a 'hard' persona (as already mentioned) which suited well.Originally posted by Simon BolivarLittle medical correction there Steve, you will surely die...but not from smoking these
